Booze | A Lazy Gal's Pina Colada

Do you like pina coladas and taking walks in the rain? But, have you ever wanted the tropical taste of a pina colada without the hassle of pulling out the blender? Jumex has allowed us lazy folk to quickly get our drink on with their coconut pineapple concentrate in a can. Add rum and an ice cube, and you might find yourself making love at midnight on the dunes of the cape (or more likely on the couch, because you're lazy)!

Booze | Fox Barrel Double Fermented

I usually love any pear cider, but not this Fox Barrel double fermented! I thought I'd take a break of dissertating and enjoy a big bottle of cider. Nope. I had to pour it down the kitchen sink. I should have read the label before I bought it, but it's super yeasty. It gave me what Joan Rivers would call a 'yif' (yeast infection face). I momentarily stole Kristen Dunst's signature look. No good.

Booze | Bushmills Single Malt Whiskey (10 Years)

We are whiskey drinkers. We drink cheap whiskey because I like whiskey cocktails and the Old Man has two taste buds, so there's no point of wasting money on the good stuff. We got this bottle of Bushmills as a gift and the Old Man loved it. He doesn't have much of a discerning palate, so I don't know how much faith I put in his review. However, the gift giver is a whiskey connoisseur and highly recommended it. It was too potent for me, so I only had one glass out of the entire bottle. And I think even that put a strand of hair on my chest.

Booze | Crispin Cider

I had Crispin for the first time in Chicago. I was in love. I'm a serious cider drinker and Crispin hits the spot. It's a lot less sweet than any Woodchuck. It's similar to Strongbow, but slightly more refreshing. After having it in Chicago, I went on the hunt here in Indy. It's actually kind of funny because the guy at one store asked if it was a "hard" cider. I had no idea what he was talking about. Oddly, I hate apple juice. (It's a long story involving me repeatedly watching Footloose as a child.) So, I don't drink "soft" cider and didn't realize not all ciders are alcoholic. You learn something new everyday.
